The Basics, the extras and the secret modes
Tekken 3 thankfully keeps the winning formula of its predisesors and even manages to improve on it. You still have your 2 punch and 2 kick buttons, but you know sidestep and its compatible with the Dual Shock Analog pad.
The graphics are improved of course, but don't worry there is new features as well! There is know a "Force" mode, were you fight through the 8 levels with other characters as the end of level bosses.
There are also 2 new modes, called "ball" mode and "thertre" mode, but these have to be earned.
The ball mode is were you hit a ball to each other and if you miss the ball you lose energy equivelent to how hard the ball was hit. But you can still fight normally while the ball is in the air ;-) To get this you need to complete the game with any 9 fighters.
Therete mode gives you extra sound and disc options, letting you plaay the cinimatics at any time, to get this you need to complete the game with each of the initial 10 fighter but who are? The next paragraph will tell you.

The characters and The Secrets
So know to the charectors, you start with 10 which include Yoshimitsu, Nina Willams, Paul Phoenix and (a new/second) King. Who are joined by Eddy Gordo, Ling Xiaoyu, Jin Kazama, Hwoarang, Forest Law and Lei Wulong.
But of course there are more charectors to be found, you get these when you complete the Arcade mode.

Use the tiger, by completing arcade mode 16 times with different characters then highlight Eddy and hit start. This is just an extra costume for Eddy really,
Use Dr Boskonovich, by completing Force mode 4 times (collecting the bronze, silver and Gold keys at the same time) and defeat him (Dr Boskonovich) which is very hard when he appears. Use Gon, complete arcade mode with Dr Boskonovich, then press left on the D-pad untill you see a rather large green lizard or defeat gon in Ball mode to play as the lizard. The later is easier. Alternative costumes, play as Jin 50 times, Ling 50 times, Anna 25 times and Gun Jack 10 times in any mode except Practice.
