I have read many previews of this and they all seem to contradict each other on the release date.
So I rang up a Mail-order company who are based in the UK and they said the 20th November 1998
- C&C 2 Tiberian Sun, the plot continues
C&C2 uses the same armies as the original, being the Brotherhood of NOD and GDI the Global Defence initive.
Some how Kane survived when we where lead to believe that he died under the rumble of the Temple of NOD.
The game we have all been waiting for is getting closer. Westwood have opened a new sit for this game at
tiberiansun.comThis site is very interesting and has you some amassing graphics. If they
are this good on the net just imagine how good they will be on your computer.
Humans seem to go from the arsenal and have been replaced by Cyborgs for NOD and Mechs (called GDImech) for GDI.
NOD have got what is called an "Advanced NOD attack cycle" to replace the essential Reckon bikes.
GDI are given Hover MRL's, which are amphibious tanks and the Disrupter a sonic wave Generator.
The reason we have had to wait so long was blamed on the rapid increase in computer games graphics
but Westwood have made a completely new graphics engine for the game to run on, and one of its main advantages is the
the fact that some of the missions will take place at night.
But I can't play the full version yet as it has not yet been released in the UK :-(
- C&C retaliation update,
Release date "third quarter of 98"
This is a new version of Red Alert for the Playstation.
Personally I think it is a bit of a con, you just get Red Alert with bit's
of "counterstrike" and the "Aftermath" (the PC add-on disc's)
presented in a different way and the call it a new game.
Westwood are just trying to get a bit more money to develop other games.
The new format means that the missions are split into difficulty setting and
instead of going through the missions chronologically when you complete
a set number of missions you get to the next rank giving you access to the
next level of missions.
You will be pleased to hear that their is now full memory card support
I think it would have been more popular if they had kept to their original idea
of having an add on disc, but never mind.
- Age of Empires
By Microsoft, who have taken the best parts of
"classic" Strategy games including Civ and
Warcraft II and made this amassing game where you have 4
resources to collect, which are food, wood, stone and
gold. Very basically you need food and wood for most
the game but stone and Gold are more rare, if you want to
go on the offensive you need more Gold, and for defenses
more Stone. Even though it is not as initiate as Total
Annihilation and others as it is so smoothly well balanced
it is a wonderfull game. I may soon have a specific Age of
Empires page of even site!

- Tomb Raider 2
The squeal to the best seller Tomb Raider is hear, It got
10/10 in official playstation, and got 98% in
"exrtreame Playstation azine" (see below), I
have not got the game or even played it, but from what
I understand it has even better graphics, gameplay, and
control than the organal, you know have the ability to
climb walls and there is a practice mode. The game seems
around more realistic than the original, with having
different clothes according to the climate, you also have
to pick up your weapons rather then just beginning with 2
pistols. As any popular game it has its own web ring but
of course it includes the Tomb Raider 1 web sites.
- New Playstation Magazine:
"extreame Playstasion azine" Well thats what it
says on the front, I think the lower case e is deliberate
as it is a logo but "azine" I think that should
read Magazine, (if it was deliberate, its even
tackier than I thought) I would say there are far to many
Playstation magazines already, but though it sounds
corny, this one is different, it has a nice feature
on accessories and I think it is targeted at the male
market as the Tomb Raider 2 review mentions Lark's
"virtual boobs" a lot and includes a column
named silicon valley
