- Psion Release the Psion 3mx, (6/9/98) this is similar to the other Psion 3's but has
an even better nonslip service and has been speeded up substantially. Know £269

Market, we have already seen the release of one very impressive "Smart phone" by Sharp!
Which was touch sensitive which had a screen to protect it and this was folded to the
back of the phone when it was in use. It had many functions including an E-mail function,
and the optional docking system to connect to a PC (but not Mac).
Oh and Nokia brought out some chunky phone that could send e-mail etc. as it had a keyboard in the middle of it
but this was hard to type on, and though very nice it was more of a gimmick than a practical computer
- Casio launch a new PDA/advanced organizer with similar functions as the
Psion 5's agenda, at £179.99 9 for 1mb version and £229.99 for the 2mb
version it reminds us how good value our Psion 5's are

I have had problems with My
psion 5 and it is not one of the first batch, Psion said
that it was very strange and they had never herd of it
before, they went on to explain that my psion was half
English and Half americian and asked me to send it back
to them, but as I use it every day this is not
practicial. If you have had heard of anyone else with a
problem like this please mail me.

Psion Basics
- The Psion series 5 is an
easy to use PDA (Personal Digitial Assistant)
- It costs ukp400 with 4mb
memory or ukp430 with 8mb, (there are lots of good "starter
packs" but this is the recomended retail price)
- Has a touch sensitive
keyboard
- Has a microphone and speaker
- Has an infrared link to
printers and other series 5 computers
- Has a full width ,
touch-sensitive screen
- Has lots of applications
built-in , including a word processor and there is lots
of commercial , shareware and freeware available for it
and this is growing by the day . There is also a Psion
web Ring .
But it's not just the machine that beats the compition the quility of shareware and freeware programs on the internet is amasing.
One of the best freeware authors is Fatcatz software (see right)
